Alex,

You could add the audio in Acrobat after creating the slide show. The audio could be triggered to play upon opening the first slide. Another option would be to create a movie file complete with sound and import the movie in Acrobat. This option gives you just a single page with a video that plays upon the page opening.

I read your article 'Slipping your images into a slideshow' which referred to Acrobat 7 Reader. What I am trying to do is combine a recorded audio file of the live slide presentation, along with timings and slides into an Acrobat 8 file so that the file can be emailed. I've been through the Acrobat 8 bible but can find no advice on how to achieve this. This may not be the place to ask for help but I have posted everywhere. Your advice would be appreciated.

Actually, Acrobat supports a number of media players. You can embed Flash video in a PDF as well as other media types. For embedding a player in Acrobat not supported by the program I'm afraid I don't know of any way to do that.

Hi Ted,

I've recently subscribed to your Acrobat Users' blog feed. Nice to know you're based in Davao. Your name came up in quite a few links while I was searching for resources in PDF publishing. I'm looking for a way to embed a slide player in a PDF document. Is this possible? Thanks.

Hi Eugene,

I think you might want to go to my other blog at: http://davaodesigners.blogspot.com/ and subscribe to that site. Not sure if I'll have time to keep this site going.
